Quit working after one year.
Like others have said, Oster Fusion Blender - BRLY07B just randomly dies and will not even turn on anymore. For me it happened just after the one year mark so no warranty return for me. And I used it maybe once a week at the most. Mine was a gift and I wish I would have read the reviews before I opened it. Too late now...
Not your old reliable Oster
I've had two or three reliable Oster blenders in 30+ years, and this one was a piece of junk. I blended a smoothie, and it would not shut off, so I had to pull the plug. When I plugged it back in, it wouldn't turn on.
This didn't seem to have the power of a 1,000 watt blender, as noted on the box. I wasn't surprised to see 600 watts marked on the bottom of the blender. Don't they call that false advertising?

After only a month of having Oster Fusion Blender - BRLY07B, the all metal drive snapped in half. In truth the all metal drive is a metal cap with a rubber gasket underneath. We purchased Oster Fusion Blender - BRLY07B to replace our oster beehive which had the exact thing break after 2 years. This only lasted for 29 days.
Fast, smooth results, but the innards wobble and the noise it makes sounds "wrong"
Okay, it's fast. :) And the results were a very smooth mixture...
Sadly, when taking the motor unit out of the box, you could feel the motor inside go up and down if you turned the main part upside down and back.
Worse, when actually using this thing, the motor sounds wrong. It's loud, that's not the problem, but the whir noise is unevenly pitched.
Now I've only used this thing in manual mode; no pre-set modes that turn the blades backwards and forwards at various speeds; just "maximum" or even holding down "max pulse".
Then I came here to read peoples' glowing reviews. Glowing with anger, it seems. I've a feeling this unit is going to peter out within a month. Even the 400 watt puny Oster ... Read More
Awesome Blender. Replaced my Vista-Mix.
I have had a Vita-Max for almost 7 years now. While the Vita-Mix can't be beat power wise it has some very important weaknesses. First it is very expensive. I paid almost $600 for mine. Second, if you use protein poweder in it you have to not only rinse it immediately, you have to blend water in it to clean the protein powder grit out of it so that it doesn't destroy the blade assembly. I have went through three blade assemblies in the last 7 years. This with following their directions for blending water in it after using it. Third, the plastic (polycarbonate) containers crack at the bracing points. I have went through 8 containers in 7 Years.
