I PASSED MY MIDTERMS/FINALS!!!
I am pursuing my degree in Accounting through a distance learning program. I delivered my daughter in September right after the semester started. Needless to say from the surgery I couldnt walk up and down the stairs. Also, she was so active I had to do alot of my classwork late at night. The coffee maker is in my office. I brew a pot of coffee and would start on my classwork. I would've never completed this semester of school without it!!!
Just quit working
I wanted a new coffee maker because I was having a major kitchen remodel done. My coffee maker is always within view on the counter and I thought the design on this one was nice. After reading some reviews on this Mr. Coffee I bought it. Remodeling was done and I put my coffe maker to work, it was great..for a SHORT time. Within 2 months the thing just QUIT. Couldn't get it to work again at all. By that time I no longer had the receipt and so I was out of luck. I will not buy a Mr. Coffee again. I would expect a new coffee maker to work at least 6 months!
This Machine is a Cofee-holic's Dream!
My husband and I drink alot of coffee. When I first saw this coffee maker in the store, I immediately fell in love with all the "bells and whistles" this machine has. The 4-hour warmer was the one that sold me immediately. I checked on Amazon to see all the reviews and decided to give it a try. The only issues we have had are 1) the basket sliding out if you pick the pot up at an angle, which I read in previous reviews. Easy fix though, I put my thumb up to catch the basket if is starts to slide. 2) Is steam condensation on the outside of the machine around the basket area. Could have been great, but it's not.
Purchased this coffee maker after my Cuisinart Brew Central started to fade. I read the reviews on this coffee maker but decided since I found it on sale half price to give it a shot.
Pros: stylish, well thought out design. Neat feature that you can warm cups or cream on the top. Easy to fill - much more so than the Cuisinart. Good controls, easy to understand and use.
Cons: Basket design - holds a square permanent filter - and no one, including Mr Coffee, seems to makes them. The permanent filter feels flimsy. I don't care for the flip top lid on the carafe - it interferes with washing and precludes putting it in the dishwasher. No replacement carafe is listed by Mr Coffee. I bought this item recently, and will admit like I am in some meeting, I am a coffee adict. My last few pots have been Mr. Coffee brand, and I have ventured outside of this arena when staying with family and friends quite frequently, and the fact remains: Mr. Coffee is simply the best cup of coffee out there. Simple as that.
This model is simply outstanding. Every bell and whistle you can imagine, of course including the essential delay brew, pour while still brewing feature, and my personal favorite, the 2hr or 4hr timer for auto shutoff.
