Save your money and buy a better product!
I made the mistake of purchasing this microwave from Target a while back. I should have just spent a bit more and bought a decent microwave. This was the absolute worst product I have ever had the displeasure of owning. It lasted all of 3 months and died. I have vowed to never ever purchase another Emerson product. I still don't know what happened but one day the display went out and that was it. It never started again. It went out in the trash the next day and I purchased a Panasonic.
This One Works For Me.
We are using this microwave for 2 years and running. It is a good value for the price. We do not want anymore complicated machines in our house and this white box is simple enough to use. After all, we just want to heat our food. The buttons are not that many. A few presets for popcorns, pizza, vegetables, defrost, etc. Tall enough to accommodate a full size milk bottle. It has a rotating glass plate just like any other microwave ovens. How often I visit a friend's house with their 200$ microwaves and then had to ask somebody just how to operate.
Made in China
This microwave worked great for 10 months, then it died. Easier to buy a new one than to go through all the trouble of packaging it up and paying UPS 1/3rd the purchase price of the thing to send it back to the manufacturer, then wait for weeks to get it back.
microwave died in less than one year
This microwave looks attractive but stopped working in less than one year of use. It will no longer heat for more than 2 or 3 minutes at a time. Waste of money.
Emerson Microwave Doesn't Do Duties
Emerson Radio Corporation is a small company and popular brand (mostly for the wrong reasons, though I digress) of electronics, electrical equipment, and electric household products. The thing that standsout of them are their amazingly attractive pricetags. Although their products can be found at most common stores, they are more found at discount stores. This Emerson microwave is very attractive, small, and lightweight. Very centered to the dorm room crowd, it's small, useful, and cheap. In fact the only reason I had purchased this microwave were those three reasons. All seems good, the microwave has the basic options of a timer, a spinning tray, and a few food settings.
