best rice cooker
This is just a great rice cooker! Once you get it set-up it is so easy to use.I have 3 members of my household and it is just the right size. The web site has recipes too that are helpful. It cost more than some cookers but worth it.As far as the aluminum thing goes I have been cooking in restaurants for 30 years and have cooked on aluminum every day. If it were copper then worry. I have never heard anything so ridiculous.

no spatter rice cooker

this machine cooks and keeps rice warm, it has never spattered steam or water droplets on my counter. it is cleaned after each use and it is used quite frequently as i love rice. i have used it for long grain white rice and for brown rice, it does exellent on both.

a good purchase if you cook rice on a regular basis otherwise it may be on the high side for average households.

Before you buy, ask if you need it.
I have been cooking rice since my youth. Half rice and half water will always yield perfect rice, if you like soft rice. 2/3 rice and 1/3 water will yield rice more firm. Boil the water, let it sit and use low flame for 20 minites to cook it well done.

See you do not need high tech cooker. In that regard, this cooker is a complete waste of money. If you like convenience, buy a $30 one. That will do perfect job.

I bought because my friend told me great things about it. AFter I tried it, his claims are all unfound. Bottom line, it is a rice cooker with high price, that is it.

High tech, high hype.

Does what it's supposed to do!
I bought this rice cooker during my kitchen remodel, when the only methods of cooking I had were crock pot, microwave, or hot plate. This thing was, and still is, a life-saver!

I love brown rice, but I hate the intense, laborious process of cooking it on the stove. Watching the heat, getting the water amount just right, constantly having to baby it...no thanks. With my Zojirushi I just set it to brown and go to town (haha). The brown rice cycle takes about 2 hours...but if you use the built in timer function, you can have brown rice (or any kind of rice) ready and waiting for you at the time you desire. The time you set on the timer is the time that your Zojirushi sings it's corny little japanese song to let you know that your ... Read More

Rice cooker review
A great product, and worth the price. Best tasting rice I have ever eaten, and costs less to run than the stove or microwave--plus frees up those appliances, too.
