The heart of any great shaver design is the foil. Seiko S-Yard tested five different foil designs (see picture) before producing the final production design. Slot shape, size and placement were tweaked. At the same time, different foil thicknesses and coatings were tried until the right blend of safety, comfort and effectiveness was obtained.
The ES1080 Personal Shaver has a new, curved, ergonomically designed shape making it easy to get the shaver into all those ''hard to reach'' areas.
The new ES1080 is rechargeable! Using the 110 volt, UL Listed charger brings the 1080 to full charge in 1 hour. You can also use it with the cord if necessary. An indicator light shows the ES1080 is charging and goes out when fully charged.
The new ES1080 is easy to clean. You can rinse out the head under running water...or simply remove the foil and tap the hair and powder out of the receiver.
With pubic shaving the preferred shaving technique is dry shaving with a lubricating powder. We include a 3 oz. bottle of Medical Grade cornstarch based lubricating powder. Lightly dust the area to be shaved with the powder and your 1080 will glide over the skin without sticking.
Remember, the ES1080 is a SHAVER and will only cut hair of stubble length (like the 5 o'clock shadow of a man's beard, 3/32 inch max.) You'll need a good safe trimmer, at least for your first shave, to get your hair to stubble length. That's why we include a disposable Noxema Bikini Razor with the ES1080.
The ES1080 includes a US spec 110 volt UL Listed 1 hour quick charger, a vial of shaver oil, a travel pouch, a 3 oz. shaker bottle of medical grade cornstarch based dry lubricant, a cleaning brush and multilingual instruction manual as well as Seiko S-Yard's full One Year Parts and Workmanship Guarantee.

Love this shaver...great for people with sensitive skin
This shaver is awesome compared to other shavers I have tried. It is great for sensitive skin and can be used just about anywhere. You will not cut yourself. The only downfall is you need to blade shave first, but after getting into a good routine it gets easier. I find that I can get a much better shave with this than any blade. There are no ugly bumps. The only problem that may take getting used to is it must be done on dry skin with powder. I highly recommend Seiko S-Yard ES1080 Cleancut Personal Shaver, Pearl White for people with sensitive skin.

I've used this for 2 mths. I would've given 5 stars if this shaver didn't require a pre shave. I would recommend a battery powered slim trimmer to use first for the close shave, vs a razor. Especially in those more delicate difficult areas to get to. I was "gun shy" at first expecting to get a nick or catching of skin, but it is totally safe and painless. Of course I tried to cut corners and not use the powder, but the powder (I also use baby powder, no special powder necessary) does give you the desired hairless shave. Having had Brazilian waxes last summer I experienced a lot of problems w/ painful ingrown hairs through most of the winter. KISS THE PAINFUL WAXING GOOD-BYE !!!
I wanted to eliminate the painful procedure of waxing. And so I decided to give the Seiko S-Yard ES 1080 Cleancut a try. It was very easy and painless to use. I followed the instructions of removing the hair first with the little Noxzema shaver and shaving cream and then used the Seiko to finish. The result was great and I even decided to go all the way and to take it all off, that is something I would have never wanted to attempt with the waxing method before. Ouch!! The only downfall to the Seiko Shaver is that I have to use it every day because it only trims it if the hair is very short, almost like a "5 o'clock shadow" for men.
