Great for blackhead removal.
I am thirty and have in the last few years noticed some brown spots larger than a typical freckle. I bought Glycolic Acid 35% Gel Peel, 30ml (Professional) to attempt to remove them. The most worrisome for me is the larger spot above my lip (a result from my recent pregnancy that has not yet faded). I have noticed no difference with the spots other than a temporary (few hours) fading then a full return. My skin otherwise has been much clearer, the blackheads and dry skin have disappeared. I may have to use the product for more than 5 minutes or more often than once a week.
I highly recommend Glycolic Acid 35% Gel Peel, 30ml (Professional) for oily or acne prone skin, or for light wrinkles. I so far have not seen evidence that it removes stubborn brown spots.
Snake Oil
I've used Glycolic Acid 35% Gel Peel, 30ml (Professional) about a half a dozen times and I have noticed absolutely no peeling effect what so ever. I leave it on my skin for a full 4 minutes and I haven't even noticed any tingling or burning sensation and exfoliating at all. I use Olay exfoliating products such as their Microdermabrasion and Peel which work far better than Glycolic Acid 35% Gel Peel, 30ml (Professional). I was considering purchasing the Skin Laboratory TCA peel product but now I'm thinking that I shouldn't even bother.
Pigmentation remover
I love Glycolic Acid 35% Gel Peel, 30ml (Professional). I suffer from hyperpigmentation and have been using Glycolic Acid 35% Gel Peel, 30ml (Professional) for three weeks and I have noticed a great improvement on my pigmentation agreas. The plus to Glycolic Acid 35% Gel Peel, 30ml (Professional) is how my face glows. I have only been using it for 2 minutes and I have noticed very little peeling or redness. I have been using Glycolic Acid 35% Gel Peel, 30ml (Professional) with DMAE serum and Hyaluronic Serum by Source Naturals and everyone is commenting on how my skin is glowing. Don't know if it is just one product or the combo but for the price of these products I will continue to use them all. Great value.
No difference noted!
I'm not a novice to peels. I've used a variety from major brands to boutique ones sold on Sephora. All of them have had a peeling effect to some degree though the glycolic percentage wasn't as high as Glycolic Acid 35% Gel Peel, 30ml (Professional) claimed at 35%, so I had a certain level expectation. I was disappointed. Having followed the directions closely, I've used it continually once a week for about a month. (This purchase was my second bottle.) I've noticed no difference in the texture and absolutely no peeling effect. There was no redness, no tingling, absolutely nothing. Therefore, based on the purported claims and the actual experience I had with it, I have to give it 1 star and cannot recommend Glycolic Acid 35% Gel Peel, 30ml (Professional). I have noticed reduced pore size, a more even skin tone. Face is not so oily since using Glycolic Acid 35% Gel Peel, 30ml (Professional). I love it!
