I'm sure this works, but you might not need it.
I use my 3 c. Bodum Chambord Coffee Press to froth milk. It is basically the same concept: a glass carafe and a plunger with mesh. It makes a great foam. At any rate, if you already have a small coffee press, it can probably pull double-duty as a milk frother.
new product very inferior to original
I recently purchased a replacement chambord milk frother. My old one had a metal and plastic wheel on the bottom of the frother. It worked fabulously. I ordered a new[[ASIN:B000QEEI5I Bodum Chambord 5-Ounce Milk Frother]and got a very different product. The bottom of the frother is plastic and mesh. It does not fit tightly in the beaker. It does not froth. I called Bodum to complain, and they seem to know it does not work very well. After my complaining loudly, they said they would send me a gasket to use which would make a tighter fit. I no longer advise buying Bodum Chambord 5-Ounce Milk Frother.
Great product for the money
I purchased this after my rechargeable Bon Jour frother died within a couple of months--just couldn't justify another $39 to make a latte. I actually had pretty low expectations, but that was quickly corrected when I used it. It is very easy to use, makes great froth and easy to clean. I've tried it starting with cold milk, frothing and then heating as well as heating then frothing and the results are similar--although frothing cold milk then heating seems to create a little more froth. If you have a few extra minutes, let it sit after you froth and it is even better!

Very fragile glass
I used Bodum Chambord 5-Ounce Milk Frother only a few times when I discovered what amounts to a hole at the bottom of the glass. I was very careful in handling and washing it and have absolutely no idea what caused this defect. While I was pleased with the performance for the few times I used it, I would not recommend Bodum Chambord 5-Ounce Milk Frother due to the extreme fragility of the glass.
Excelent way to enjoy your coffee w/o the Starbucks price
This milk frother is affordable, easy to use, easy to clean and your cappuccinos end up being and tasting even better than the Starbucks or Panera ones
