Heat makes all the difference!!
I own the previous model to this and did not find it all that effective. After reading the reviews I decided to buy this, which seems identical except heat was added. The heat has made a huge difference and makes it so much more effective. I am so glad I upgraded.
Although I have not tried the higher model (quad), from reading the reviews and from experience, I think this is a better choice in order to focus the massage at one spot.
I would give it 5 stars but for two points. I have to sit on a cushion to get it all the way down to my lower back just above the SI joints. Also, one improvement would be to make the width adjustable in shiatsu mode.
Once again, well worth the upgrade.
Love the Shiatsu rolling mechanism!
I was very wary when I bought this massager. Read many different reviews for similar items, but went with this one (reviewers rated the 400 model as inferior even though it has 4 rolling mechanisms). I'm glad I bought this! The shiatsu mode really kneads out the knots in my back, and I love that you can target in on one spot. The rolling mode feels too weak for me, but that's a personal opinion, since my sister has said it's quite harsh for her. I just had a baby 3 months ago and have been dying of back pains. Of course, with a newborn there is no time to go out and get massages, so this chair is a wonderful stand-in. I can sit there and get a massage while watching tv or even feeding the baby! Good purchase, very straight-forward
Comes with two main settings - rolling and shiatsu - and you can basically control where you want it to massage on your back. Only complaint is that it doesn't account for the contours of your back so you have to adjust it on the chair that you strap it onto. Overall, very satisfied with the product. I even purchased one for my parents - they love it.
Oh My Back!
We tried the cheaper seats, but all they do is make noise. This actually makes you feal better. Deep massage. My husband uses it every day. He keeps it right on the sofa in the living room. We were skeptical, but figured if it didn't do anything, we would send it back. He was surprised. I am happy that he gets such usage from it. Brooklyn.
Works For Me
While waiting for a prescription in CVS, I tried the 200 model and I was impressed. Later I tried a newer model in Costco and I was equally impressed. The model in the store is no longer available and on their website, they only offer a SBM-350H that I ordered. After using it for three days I was not impressed. IMO this unit does not go as high up the shoulders as the SBM-300H model. Some of the other reviewers mentioned this as well. I am returning it since I purchased the SBM-300H model from another store for the same price as the Costco model. I have to use a towel over the top of the unit since the pressure was too hard for me. With the towel in place it is working great. I appreciate all the reviews that helped me make my decision. ...
