STILL Have not received the magazine
I ordered a subscription in July and I have yet to receive a single issue or any acknowledgment of the order. I am extremely disappointed.
Adrift and rudderless
I carried a subscription to The Atlantic for about a year and a half (most of 2007 and 1/2 of '08), until I just couldn't justify the expense anymore. I generally have five or so magazine subscriptions during any given year, and my criteria for renewing is whether or not I consistently read the issues from cover to cover or not. If I find that I'm slogging through the articles, uninspired by the content, then I bid it a hasty farewell.
Because I subscribe to so many magazines, I'm bombarded by offers through the mail for every periodical you can think of, some of which I wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole. NEVER subscribe to a magazine through Amazon
I subscribed in July waited patiently as instructed for the October issue and when I called Amazon to inquire as to why I had not received it, I was given the run around and ultimately told that even if i never got an issue I also would NEVER get a refund: "We don't refund magazine subscriptions."
Has not come.
Subscribed in the first week of August, it is now the first week of November and not one magazine has arrived.
DO NOT SUBSCRIBE THROUGH AMAZON
I subscribed in July and have not received an issue yet. Just got off the phone with customer service-- he assured me (unconvincingly) that my November issue would arrive soon. He gave no acceptable explanation for the delay, trying to convince me that my address was changed... but my address is printed correctly on Amazon, and has remained the same since July! How could there have been a mistake? July to November... that's certainly longer than 6-10 weeks! DO NOT SUBSCRIBE TO MAGAZINES THROUGH AMAZON, as others have previously stated, unless you want to be as angry as I am now.
