What Others Say

I bought this for a birthday present
I bought this HP Ipaq for my husband as a birthday present. He loves it. He wanted it primarily for the E-Sword Bible along with all the commentaries. We put a 2 gig memory card in and it can hold all kinds of books which he likes. Also he accesses the internet with it and although the screen is small he can access email and the like. He really enjoys it.

Fits my needs perfectly!
The iPAQ I had before this one was purchased in 2001 and showing its age something awful. After suffering the pain of swapping over to a new device, I am up and running and very happy. I use my Pocket PC for everything, including reading ebooks on both Microsoft Reader and eReader. I'm impressed by most of the new features of Windows Mobile (except the lack of backup through ActiveSync, what's up with THAT?) and using it in all the ways I'm accustomed to. Battery life is decent, the screen is easy to read and use for input with the stylus. I like being able to charge through the USB connection and data transfer by USB seems fast enough for my needs as well. I'm completely happy with my new device and really glad HP offers the "Classic" version.

HP iPAQ Review
HP iPAQ 111 Classic Handheld (FA979AA#ABA) (110 Series) works exceptionally well, it does everything that I wanted and expected of it.HP iPAQ 111 Classic Handheld (FA979AA#ABA) (110 Series)

Simply great PDA
This is about my 10th PDA; my last one is the iPAQ 4700. The 4700 uses Mobile 5.0, which is another one of Microsoft's big mistakes, and was soon replace with Mobile 6.0. Version 6.0 corrects all the issues more or less with 5.0. If you are use to Windows CE software you will have little problems learning 6.0. The main improvement is the Mobile 6.0 takes advantage of the speed of the CPU and nice design of this iPAQ 111. The screen and button functions all work well without hesitation. Wi-Fi is great. This PDA is small and light weight, but the screen is a nice size. I found it easy to read since my eyes aren't the best anymore. The speaker is not good for listening too much of anything, but fortunately the headphone jack is a standard ... Read More

Now I'm sold
I purchased the IPAQ for Pocket Fritz (chess software). I didn't expect much beyond that. However, the wireless/internet explorer browser works well, the keypad entry is quick and accurate (also suggesting words), and the display is good. I was debating between the higher resolution enhanced model and the classic model, and opted to save money with the classic. I'm glad I did :-)
