Broke After Only One Week Of Use
The item worked for one week, it worked alright. Then it stopped working. It would show color bars and the menu, but no matter what source we would plug into it, it would show scrambled lines. No amount of toying with it and different cables would do the trick. It was the cheapest on amazon and apparently, you get what you pay for... junk.
Great product for the price
Got this just yesterday and it is great. It is about the size of a deck of cards, but it works great. The on screen menu and adjustments are helpful, but once you unplug it from the computer, they all go to default levels again. No idea what flick actually does. You can watch netflix movies, video games, and anything you want on the TV. The quality for somethings are not that great such as divx movies, but netflix movies look the same as if I was playing a dvd on a dvd player hooked to the TV. My TV is ancient (it actually has the faux wood paneling on the sides), but this worked fine with it. A better TV would probably product a better quality, but much cheaper than buying a LCD TV to watch movies on.

After a bunch of research, VideoSecu PC to TV Presentation Converter, Laptop Mac VGA to Video VGA2TV 1L7 seemed to get the best reviews, esp for the price, and overall I agree. Once I finally put it together and tried to use it, I found a few nuisances that you should be aware of, especially if you are a NTSC (e.g., U.S.A. users).

TV Converter
We bought this to view photo slide shows and video clips from our computer on the larger TV screen. It connects very easily and works perfectly, although I did have to make one switch change in order to get it to work. It basically duplicates your computer screen on the TV screen.

Gets the job done
My laptop died on me, and while waiting for the repair and recovery I needed to use my TV as a monitor for my old desktop (running Windows XP). I plugged everything in, changed my TV to the 1st input signal and voila! it worked.
I'm glad someone suggested methods for adjusting the picture quality, as there isn't a manual that tells you how to do this. Since I'm using this for text based files and browsing, I needed something that would go beyond playing videos. To do this, I found an 800x600 screen resolution to be best, and increased the sharpness as much as possible through the box. I'm not sure what "flick" does, but I tried adjusting that and didn't see much of a difference.
