Editorial Review:

Amazon.com ReviewAnolon cookware is known for its performance and rugged beauty, and the nonstick hard-anodized line showcases both qualities without costing a fortune. Fashioned with commercial styling and striking color contrast, the cookware is made from dark gray hard-anodized aluminum with polished stainless-steel handles. Both durable and quick conducting, the construction stands up to years of use and eliminates hot spots, scorching, and uneven results. Anolon also coats each piece with a professionally tested nonstick layer that cuts down on the need for fats in cooking while ensuring easy food release and speedy cleanup. Other appealing features include comfortable and heat-resistant HollowCore handles and break-proof low-profile hard-anodized lids.

This 12-inch covered skillet performs beautifully on the stovetop and in the oven. It comes with a hard-anodized lid that makes a tight seal, so you can pan-roast asparagus or keep sautéed shrimp warm at the table. The flared rim is attractive and pours easily, which is especially helpful in a pan this size. Both pan and lid are oven-safe to 500 degrees F, and washing them by hand is quick and simple. Anolon includes a lifetime limited warranty. --Emily Bedard

What Others Say

Sloped sides make cooking surface too small
I returned this, so I don't have it handy for measurements. The severely sloped sides of this pan, which measures 12" on the top, mean that the actual cooking surface is less than 10". That's why I returned it. Other than that, it had a nice heft to it and the material seemed fine (although I didn't actually cook with it). Just be aware that the sides slope more than most skillets.

light pan, easy to handle, clean
I found this somewhat large pan to be sturdy but relatively light and easy to handle. It also cleans up easily.

All I was looking for...
This skillet is exactly what I was looking for. It is light weight, with a great finish and the handle stays cool. I can't say enough good things about it. So glad I got it!!
