What Others Say

Stay away, horrible quality control.....
I've never written a Amazon review yet but had to write about my disappointment with this player. Worked fine for a month, then started having intermittent problems with playing standard discs (not recognizing them). Then playing blurays became a problem, with it freezing and skipping frames. Obviously, I tried different standard DVDs and wells several different blurays. Within 2 weeks, now it doesn't recognize ANY standard discs and still has problems with Blurays.

It's time so stop stalling
Ok, I'm not the most knowledgable person out there on these things, but I like to think that I am. I can't vouch for high end Blu Ray players that cost the mortgage of my house but I could tell you one thing, if you haven't taken the step into the world of high def yet then it sure is the time.

Stop being scared, this isn't a fad, it's not going to pass. You need to get into the now and this is a good way to start. Well, a HD T.V would be where to start but that's a totally different review. Let's talk Blu Ray..

Since the PS3 was launched I've had a Blu Ray player and it is something else. But I couldn't trek the PS3 back and forth to the bedroom from the living room if we wanted to watch a Blu Ray movie in bed. So ... Read More

Blu Ray in motion.
I recently purchased the Samsung BD-P 1500 Player. I was very impressed with it's video and audio output. The unit is very user friendly and will recommend it to anyone who is contemplating purchasing a Blu Ray Player. You will not regret the investment.

great lil player
good lil player, wish it were free! but got a good deal with my 46" 650 series, only problem it is a lil noisy other than that great blu ray player

Good secondary player!!
I've owned the unit for about a month now and it is a very good player for my second HDTV. I use a custom built HTPC and PS3 in my main home theater, and bought this one for my secondary room. The load times are a bit slow, but the performance is great as well as the price point. The unit is a bit too slow for blu-ray disk based games like Dragons Lair, but for basic playback it is a good buy. The remote is the same as most Samsung remotes, long and uncomfortable, but most of us use a universal anyway so.....
