Yes, this is generic Omeprazole in capsule form. It is manufactured in India, and that is why it is so inexpensive. You can't have the fancy box and pretty pills for this price. I've been taking these for two months and they work. Getting the caps out of the foil packaging is easier than peeling the Prilosec tabs out of those diabolical blister cards.
The bottom line is, this generic product works, and it's way cheaper than Prilosec.
Stomach Relief
Omeprazole is a great generic drug. It relieves gastric reflux almost as well as the original drug. I would recommend it especially if your difficulty is not severe.

Been Using Generic for over a year-just the same
I've been using generic prilosec from India for more than a year. It works just the same, comes in blister pacs which are much easier to open than the original Prilosec pac (I got the tablets, not the capsules, the choice is yours).
If you do a search for prilosec generic you will turn up several net suppliers. I like the cheapest one--has proven reliable--purplediscount com.
works when other generic didn't
Although I was surprised when product was in capsule form, I talked to a friend who has used Prilosec for years and was told it used to be capsules also. Although other tablet forms of generic didn't work for my friend, this capsule form did!! And it is a great price!
