Great for school
I bought this mini laptop because the school asked me to get a low powered laptop for my 7th grader. He only needed MS Word. This was a great choice because the size and weight was easy to carry. There is no moving parts so I do not have to worry about the laptop bouncing around in his back pack (My son tends to run). The price was affordable [...]. The size did not take up the whole student desk and the power cord was very long (nice). Basically he only needed the power cord for the afternoon class because the battery was sufficient for the morning class. I especially liked having Open Office pre-installed. Cute Laptops for a great Price!
This Laptop is the best! If you want a portable computer then this is the laptop to get. It is small and light weight! I can take it everywhere I go. I love it! Only thing is I had to get a friend to load XP on it since it came with Linux but not that XP is on it I can do anything! I do wish it had 1 PCMCIA slot but what can you do:)

I haven't received mine yet. It comes to me next week as I expect and that is fine for me. My delivery time is greater because of where I live.
One reviewer mentioned that if you need IE to see some websites you are out of luck. Well, not really because you can get Crossover Office from Code Weavers and it will allow you to run Office and IE on Linux w/o a Windows license. I have it and it works great on my desktop systems. I see no reason why it wouldn't work on the Eee 900 with Linux.

Not Great
This computer would not connect to the internet for very long. It also arrived with some of the keys popped up and we were told we had to contact the company to fix this. It made it look very cheap. This item was returned.
