Crashes Continuously
The product continually crashes while attempting to download account transactions from online (at least with two very popular banks).
There is no error dialog or "sorry" message when the program crashes, it simply dies. This makes the program utterly useless when it comes to reconciling transactions online. I contacted Quicken about this and did not receive a response.
In searching for other people who may have the same problem with this application I've come across reports of severe memory leaks, although this problem may have been fixed in Update 3.

Very easy to use.
I purchase Quicken Deluxe 2009 basically just to keep track of our spending and expenses. It is everything I hoped it would be and I found it very easy to use and understand.
Unless previously committed to Quicken, look closely at open source such as GNU Cash ...

A forced/hostage upgrade from Quicken 2005. You "have" to upgrade since they've cut a deal with the financial institutions to cut off your online access with the institutions if you don't upgrade every three years. Just as found when I was hostage upgraded in 2005 from 2002, there's nothing more than a cosmetic face-lift, no meaningful fixes/improvements -- but there's even more problems.
* Product now will not connect properly to Fidelity; no problem under 2005.
* Took forever to figure out how to turn off a "reminder" function ... that kept reminding me to pay bills already scheduled ... Read More
The screen flickering is still there
Since 2006 when Quicken's interface was redesigned to make it look more like the fancier Microsoft Money, it has been a pain to use it on any machine that has an nVidia video card (such as many Dell laptops). In their quest to make a stable financial application look like a Macintosh media player, Intuit ruined the lives of many users. Worst: they blame it on the users. Just do a quick search for "quicken flicker" on Google and you'll see what I'm talking about. The Quicken forum is loaded with horror stories dating back 3 years, and Intuit apparently still refuses to recognize that there's a problem.
I've been a Quicken user since 1998, and in the past couple of years I have been waiting for Intuit to fix this annoying problem. ... Read More
Fine Update
I have used Quicken Deluxe for many years, with many updated versions. This one; Quicken Deluxe 2009 installed over my previous, Quicken Deluxe 2007 perfectly, with no problems at all. I currently use Microsoft XP. Quicken, first uninstalled my previous version, then installed the new version. It saved all of my data files, and updated them with no problems. I am not sure why some of the reviewers have had problems. Quicken also has email support, with a quick turn around for answers. I don't think you will have problems.
